Industry Awareness and Career Development Student Workshop

APPEA is formally inviting local school’s year 11 and/or 12 students who may be considering a career in the oil and gas industry to attend a Student Workshop on Wednesday 3rd June at the APPEA 2009 Conference and Exhibition.

The Student Workshop, sponsored by Inpex, will run from 8.30am – 4.00pm on Wednesday 3 June 2009, at the Darwin Convention Centre.

• An official welcome to the Conference by senior industry representatives;
• A sponsored satchel and T shirt (to be worn on the day by the students);
• An interactive “Introduction to the Petroleum Industry” presentation;
• Career focused talks by a range of recent graduates, currently employed in the upstream oil and gas industry;
• An engineering oriented competition (with prizes!); and
• A guided tour of the exhibition, comprising of over 180  industry booths.

The package also includes transport to and from the venue, plus morning tea, lunch and an afternoon snack for your students and the teacher in charge.
