Industry Related Events
APPEA is delighted to advise that a number of industry related events will take place before the official dates of the APPEA Conference.

These include:

Sunday 31 May, 9am - 1.30pm
PESA Deal Day
The PESA Deal Day organised by the Petroleum Society of Australia (PESA) is an annual showcase for acreage and farmin opportunities in Australia and the neighbouring region in a presented paper format.

Saturday 30 May - Friday 6 June
In addition APPEA is offering  pre and post conference touring options , providing delegates with the opportunity to explore all that Darwin and the surrounding region has to offer.
 
APPEA Golf Tournament

Each year the APPEA Conference is the location for the annual Australian Oilfield Golf Tournament (AOGT).

Organised by the AOGT 2008 Committee, delegates in Darwin will enjoy two days of excellent golf, combined with first class evening activity.

The tournament provides an excellent opportunity to wind down after the APPEA Conference and socialize with fellow golfers from across the oil and gas community.

Pre and Post Territory Tours

Darwin and the Northern Territory offers delegates an outstanding array of opportunities to explore the vast array of extraordinary natural landscapes and ecosystems. From tropical coastlines to heritage wetlands and wildlife parks, this region of Northern Australia is nothing short of breathtaking.

 The pre and post conference activities scheduled for the 2009 APPEA Conference aims to provide delegates with the opportunity to get a real 'taste for the territory'.

Activies will run from on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May for the early arrivals eager to savour the top end experience, and then commence again post conference through to Friday 5 June.

Bookings for the the pre and post touring activities will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

Pre and post activities include:

  • Deep Sea Fishing
  • Kakadu National Park
  • Katherine Gorge
  • Litchfield National Park
  • Bathurst Island for a Tiwi Experience
